School Community Council (SCC)
The School Community Council is a group of parents and staff members who directly impact students. These volunteers determine how the School Land Trust budget should be spent by discussing and voting on issues that matter most here in Blanding.
This group also provides feedback and direction for the school in areas of digital citizenship, parent handbook, and other important topics. All school community council meetings are public and are advertised to all parents via School Newsletter, a paper note, and at https://www.sjsd.org/o/bes. If you are interested in serving or in learning more, please contact the school!

Elections & Nominations
Nominations were open from July 30th to Aug. 14th for the 2025-26 school year.
Elections were held from Aug. 18th and 22nd 2025 at Blanding Elementary. Congratulations to our newest members, Emily Clarke, Cortney Shumway, Jeff Winget and also to our newly appointed members Lisa Lyman and Chelsea Beck . Elections are now complete!
