MZC Power Outage Update: Power has been restored to MZC Elementary School. School will resume tomorrow at regularly scheduled times. Thank you for your patience as we worked through this frustrating issue. We are excited to see our students tomorrow!

1/3/23 Power Outage at MZC Update: Parents and stakeholders, due to a prolonged power outage and still no word on when it might be restored, the previously designated "Late Start" for MZC Elementary has been changed to a school day cancellation. Without power, it is very problematic to ensure a warm, safe learning environment and providing lunch is also very difficult. Many rooms have no heat or lights. All updates regarding tomorrow (1/4/23) will be posted on school webpage and Facebook page. Please check back frequently. Thank you for your patience as we work through this matter.

Due to the power outage at MZC and no knowledge of when it is estimated to be restored, There will be a late start for MZC tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan 3rd. This means that school will begin for MZC Elementary at 10 AM. This does not affect Whitehorse High School. Buses for elementary students will arrive two hours later than the normal bus time.
If the power is not on by 7:30 am the day will change from late start to a virtual day. Parents should watch for additional information to come from school on Tuesday morning. Information will be available on the San Juan School district app, facebook, the school district website, and via parent emails.
Thanks,
